Where's my oil going....
I recently swapped engines last week, and I lost some oil when I undid the oil cooler, but I put in 3 quarts but today my oil level light came on and I was kind of ocnfused as to why - but I checked the oil while the car was warm - there was nothing there...
Now the weird part is, is that it's not leaking because the driveway where the car's been parked has no fluid on it... ANy idea's as to where the oil's going?

well leading up to my oil cooler lines bursting. I only had about five or sixdrops of oil on my driveway. Remember if you have the under cover that could be holding some of the oil that could be leaking. Check the lines and did you use new crush washers for them? if you did not this could be the problem.

I don't have my splash guard under there anymore. The weird thing is that when the car is running at idle it runs around 30psi for the oil pressure and then when I get on it it goes up to around 60psi on the guage...
The only oil that was leaking was the oil that I spilled when I put in an extra quart today.
The car isn't smoking, or doing anything irregular either.... It's just when I pull the dipstick when it's warmed up, it just doesn't register that there is any oil being there....

If it were the rear main when you drove it wouldn't the clutch slip like crazy. And you can buy an oil pan gasket for like 10-15 dollars at the most. How much oil has it lost, just the 3 quarts, maybe some *** hole is playing jokes on you and is draining your oil while your away from the car. Does anyone hate you??

I mean I'm not sure how much oil it's really gone through, but when I pull the dipstick the stick is dry, but from what i've been told tonight that means it's just 1 1/2 qts low... So I added another qt, going to let the car sit for a few days with a board under it and see if any oil drips out...

Well if it is the rear main there is a little rubber plug that is on the bell housing of the transmission on the bottom side, just take it off, and see if any oil comes out.

I think I see a leak
I filled up another qt today and I ran it around the block, and it appears to be leaking out the front of the engine somewhere.. Need to get the car up on jack stands.. It was dripping just a little bit from the frame connecter in the engine bay...
I wonder if the pan gasket is leaking... :\
