Where's the check engine light on an '88 10th AE

This is a really dumb question, I know. But I just picked up an '88 10th Anniversary RX7 the other day and I noticed there is no check engine light when I turn the key on with engine off. I pulled out the warning light cluster to check the fuses and the ones that are lit up in the pic is all there is. The bottom left is blank and the bottom right is for the seatbelts which turns on for a sec and disappears. Not on the gauge cluster either.

Heres a better picture. There's no space for any other lights and when I took it out and looked at it in the sun these were all I could see.

the S4 doesn't have a check engine light, so it can't be on because it never had one

In case anyone has the same question in the future, here's your answer.

There's a crude, check engine feature that you can use, you need to make a blinking light LED checker, there's details about it on the forum, which will plug into the diagnostic checker up by the leading coil pack. It's sooo crude it really only tells you if something's disconnected or not, though.

If there is no light, the engine must never need checking.
It is fine, you'll only screw it up.

You don't need a "check engine" light.

Th engine always sounds funny so you are constantly checkin' it anyways.

Now if the car had an "Engine OK" light then you would go WTF?...and look into WHY..

I shudder at the thought of an RX-7 running well. Makes me think it's up to something...
