Where's the check engine light on an '88 10th AE

This is a really dumb question, I know. But I just picked up an '88 10th Anniversary RX7 the other day and I noticed there is no check engine light when I turn the key on with engine off. I pulled out the warning light cluster to check the fuses and the ones that are lit up in the pic is all there is. The bottom left is blank and the bottom right is for the seatbelts which turns on for a sec and disappears. Not on the gauge cluster either.

Its in that cluster...actually i believe it doesn't come on engine off/key on. Congrats on getting a 10thAE

it was probably on so much it burnt out, lol

Heres a better picture. There's no space for any other lights and when I took it out and looked at it in the sun these were all I could see.

the S4 doesn't have a check engine light, so it can't be on because it never had one

In case anyone has the same question in the future, here's your answer.

There's a crude, check engine feature that you can use, you need to make a blinking light LED checker, there's details about it on the forum, which will plug into the diagnostic checker up by the leading coil pack. It's sooo crude it really only tells you if something's disconnected or not, though.

just noticed

i know it isnt a check engine light, but what is the stop light for in the cluster? would that not be a form of a check engine light?

its for brake system, low fluid or bad bulb

its not telling you to STOP

All this time I been wondering why I havent been able to check my engine now the answer is in this thread- there is no light telling me to check my engine !

If there is no light, the engine must never need checking.
It is fine, you'll only screw it up.

surprised no one corrected me yet on the STOP/BRAKE light warnings being separate

You don't need a "check engine" light.

Th engine always sounds funny so you are constantly checkin' it anyways.

Now if the car had an "Engine OK" light then you would go WTF?...and look into WHY..

I shudder at the thought of an RX-7 running well. Makes me think it's up to something...
