I tee'd into the line on the bov and now the bov doesnt release much and the boost reading seems off for sure

Why not tee it off at at the pressure sensor line?

This would be a good place as it is where the ecu takes it's reading from.

You can tee it off at the boost sensor, or there is a capped tube at the back of the engine so you can just remove the cap and slide it on.
