Where should i get a rebuild??

Its offical. My motor is fried. Im looking to do a rebuild. I would do it myself but i currently have a na and want a tII. I know i need the intake maniold and computer, tranny and such. I think it would be better to just buy a rebuilt s5 tII engine. Any suggestions on where i sould get it done? a mazda rebuild is 3k+ and thats basic with no streetport or anything. I was wondering what extras i should get. A kid on campus has his bridgeported. I dont quite understand what that is. I heard it is not a reliable mod??

A bridge port is a huge port, and will take away lifetime on the engine. but it's a hella lot of power so i hear. A good street port will do you just fine and will have good noticable power

As for the rebuild, if you want to drive to texas, www.marvelspeed.com

Good luck with it.

Yeah, you probably want to stick with a streetport. I would not go with a bridgeported engine unless over 500 rwhp is desired. Plus you don't really want to get into heavily modified rotaries with "uncomman" modifications if you are paying someone else to do the work or the bill will shoot up FAST and OFTEN.

The bridgeported engine will last about 30-60k on the street, depending on the size of your bridge and how powerfull your engine is. Crazy power though!!!
