Exclamation rebuild question

im thinkin of purchasing my gf's RX-7 but it needs a rebuild. whats the gonna cost me. gone through 2 rx7's and never had to.

You can swap in a rebuilt engine or do the rebuild yourself. Seems like a S4 NA motor goes for $1200-$1500 I believe. The rebuild kit is $600-$900 I believe.

Between $600-$900 for the kit. Remember you will need tools and solvent and a whole bunch of other stuff. Usually factor in another $500-$700 for misc crap. Plan for more and pray for less.

Some good rotary shops sell rebuilt FC engines as low as $950 usd. I'd say the average is $1200-$1400 though.
If you do it yourself, $1000 should cover all the rebuilt components necessary, special tools, solvents, etc
