Where to put a jack?

Where to put a jack?

Does anybody know the safespots underneath the FC where u can jack the car up, to say, change the wheels or something like that

I have always jacked the car up in the front by the subframe - that crossmember right ahead of the oil pan. Use jackstands on either end of the subframe, but put them so as they are just inside the control arms, do not let the car rest on the control arms. For the rear, I jack it up by the subframe directly behind the Y split for the exhaust. I put jackstands on either side of that subframe as well.

You can jack from the differential, the crossbar under the engine, the rear sub frame mounting points, and at the front of the frame rails (yeah, I know but how else do you describe them?) there's a reinforced spot you can't miss.

If you'reusing the OEM jack, these might not work. I can't remember just where those points are...I'd have to look in the manual.

If you use the frame rails do use the very front with the added metal.

Just to help disperse weight I put a piece of wood in between the rail and the jack so it has a larger area to sit on and the wood will usually start to deform before the rail does.

On the sides of the car, just in back of the front wheels, and just in front of the rear wheels, there are two half circles cut into the body's subjoints. The factory jack goes between those half circles.

my factory jack bends that metal piece where it's supposed to go when I jack it up. Thats y i never use the factory jack, but if i'm ever stranded, I guess I'll be forced to
