where is this oil leak comming from? pics

I have this small leak under my oil cooler. Im thinking its the oil cooler lines, but the only wet part is on the right half of the oil cooler, and the lines are on the corner so, i have no idea how it got all over the right side of the oil cooler itself. the lines actually seem dry. its not really a leak, but it bothers me. so you guys think its the oil cooler or the lines?

i would degrease and clean it very well, if it continues to leak then it will be more obvious where it is leaking from

i've got the same problem...only its my whole oil cooler......lol

I'll keep watch on this thread to see if anyone posts an answer.

For reference: Whole oil cooler is wet with something...dont think its oil oddly enough BUT only one oil cooler line is leaking and its on the driver side... go figure.

middle pic shows some oil...but like mentioned above degrease the whole front end and spray it down clean with water...and then look for the leak...

Sometime also after many years and miles on the stock oil coolers and the oil lines the brass washer that goes between the oil cooler and the line tend to serve no purpose in creating a seal or a tight fit and will cause a leak with wear, tear, and years put on them...

You look like you still have the original oil cooler lines.
I recommend to change them.

Just throwing this out there, if you're parked on a slope maybe oil is trickling from somewhere or theres a gap in your cooler?

my guess would be the crush rings on either side of the banjo bolts that hold the oil cooler lines on..

like everyone has said.. degrease the whole cooler, clean it off dry and then keep an eye on it.
