where is the knock sensor?

where is the knock sensor?

does an n/a even have one and where is it... would it cause a code to come up? on an 86?

From my understanding the non-turbo rx7's (us ones atleast) do not come with a knock sensor. On the turbo motors it is from i have seen on the front rotor housing above the trailing sparkplug

what does it do? lol besides sensin a knock... what does it do with that signal?

No NA 13B's have knock sensors. The S4 13BT's knock sensor is on the center plate below the oil fill tube; the S5 13BT's knock sensor is on the front rotor housing above the trailing spark plug.
