Where the hell is the Alternator plug????

Well I am TOTALLY STUMPED!

I have a S4 TII harness and can't find the Alternator plug on it!!!!! I bought it so I never saw it in the car.

Does any one know the placement on the harness?(ex: Near BAC/ACV or next to Primary injector?)

Also What is the color codes for the wires? It's only 2 wires right?

And to add. It's on the EFI harness and not the main body harness right?

This is kind of directed to Kevin(Rotary Resurrection) if you read this. Is this the Alerternator wires you speak of when doin a TII conversion? Or is there some other set of wires?

Can you TII guys help me out!

Come now. Anyone?

Also which plug on the harness would it pin out to?
The ECU? or The EFI to Front harness plug?

The S4 TII engine harness does not have the alternator wires (unlike the N/A harness). The alternator wires on TII's are on the driver's side (power) harness.

IIRC, the color codes are black/white and white/black wires.

****. Then WTF do I do?????

I have a NA interior harness and TII ECU and EFI harness.

Is that plug for a meter/idiot light cluster or is it part of the Alternator charging system?

You pretty much need to just do what Kevin lists on his website when doing the T2 conversion

OK so the 2 wires he mentions are these wires. He isn't very precise on what wires in his write up.

Cool. I've been scratching my head for 2 weeks and even told J-Rat he was wrong when we started going over my harness. Sorry J-Rat! Looks like we're both wrong/right!

So my thoughts are that the plug behind the alt is just for the Idiot cluster warning. Pretty much a switch that when turned off/open circuit sets of thw awrnings.

This correct? Then the alt mounts would be the ground and the ring terminal/small nut connector to the main harness is where the power flows. This sound reasonable?

Well sort of. One of those wires needs to be connected to a switched +12V source, which in turn tells the alternator to go ahead and start charging (otherwise, it will just spin and not do a damn thing). The other wire (and this is the one I am still working on for my T2 conversion) is to tell the CPU to that the alternator is fine and there is no need to light up every single light in the idiot cluster.

Check this thread out that I found on the TeamFC3S forum. Scroll down to Icemark's first post and that should help you clear up a lot of things (I still have to do this part myself as well).

So one wire is a 12v main fuse and the other goes to ingition source(key on)?

Golly, gosh no. Here is a schematic that is available online for free
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...postid=1389325

The Black/White wire goes to a fused, switched 12v source.

The White/Black wire goes to a relay in the CPU. It applies a ground to a relay which in turn, turns all the idiot lights on. When the alternator starts putting out, the ground is removed from the relay in the CPU and .....the idiot lights go out.

damn. I am not good at reading electronic diagrams.

So one line should be a inline fused 12v source. Now you mention switched. So do you mean on when the key is in the ignition?or just a constant 12v source?
Any 12v which fits the needs or at the ECU only?

Then the second wire goes to the Main harness CPU or the EFI ECU? Pretty much I would have to find the pin for this and splice it in?
