Where to get some presilencers...
Does anyone know where to get some presilencers for a custom exhaust. I'm really looking for nothing larger than 60mm (about 2.5"). I know that Racing Beat has some presilencers, but I doubt that I can use those. But does anyone know the size of the silencers? I need something that can be welded into a system when I'm ready to draw up the final plans (okay so they're already drawn up now I'm looking for parts and shopping around). Hopefully someone can give me some info. I don't care how they look but hopefully not polished (I'll probably paint everything anyhow)...but like I said it doesn't matter. I just need some 60mm presilencers.
Thanks

Goto the "Performance Muffler" section. The best prices I've found on the internet for stainless steel brand name mufflers. None of the generic ricer mufflers.

You said PRESILENCERS. Go to Mazdatrix.com They have presilencers and if you just look a bit, they sell flanges for the exaust/presilencers for people who make cutom exausts. Flanges that can be welded on to whatever pipe your making. On the whole.

You don't have to yell. If I'm not mistaken a presilencer is nothing but a small muffler that is made extremely well(as in heavy). They offer round mufflers(Magnaflow), made in stainless steel, that are 4" overall diameter with 2.5" inlet/outlet. That is basically the same size as a presilencer and cost 1/2 as much.
Now your next question will be "Is it going to last?" Yes it will. I have two of them on my car. A racing beat collected header, 4" muffler with 2.5" inlet/outlet right off the header and a 3" muffler at the rear. It sounds pretty good and cost much less than buying an aftermarket catback.

Maybe I should be more clear, I'm not talking about the inlet or outlet being 60mm. I mean the O.D. (or I.D....either will work) being 60mm. 4" is way too big for what I want. Thanks anyway though .
