where to get oil cooler lines?

one of my lines has a slow leak at the bolt and i tightened it but it may still be leaking so where can I get the lines from or can I jsut get the bolt and stop the leak.

would rather replace the old lines anyhow since I still got to pull it down to mess with.

Mazdatrix has a set of stainless-sheathed lines for about $170, I think it was. Been on my car for prolly 4 years now. Fit right in...

It continually amazes me that people keep asking for parts sources.

Mazda dealers
Mazdatrix
Racing Beat

Those should be the first place anyone checks for parts. And there is a HUGE vendors thread in the archives.

I also love it when people find out that a set of braided oil cooler lines cost over 100 bucks.. even if you make them yourself!!!

oh man.....i just ordered the corksport ones cost 141 with ground shipping

the install i cant tell if it was easy or not, all i no that taking off the old oil lines are a bitch
the only hard part that i had was getting my arm down into the side of the engine in order to install the longer one, and when installing the oil cooler itself

i installed them last night so far they seem to be working fine, ill post later on this week to see how they are still holding up

It's an hour job to swap them at the most... pretty simple.

Nah... get the rear one from under the car, and the front one is easy to get from under the hood.

The hardest ones to get are the ones on the oil cooler, but even that is pretty quick if you have the right sockets and extensions.

i ended up breaking them(accidentally) so I got some new lines then i reused th crush washers and i lost all the oil while driving.....i didn't realize they were not reusable.... now I know.....lol....I pulled them from the top....and i broke the oil cooler mount....

For the oil cooler bolts on the lines I just used extensions and an impact gun to get them of real quick. It was quite simple.

Yep, always replace those crush washers.

Somethimes the rubber part of the oil cooler mounts does get bad... (mostly if there was an oil leak), and on those, if I see cracks in mounts i'll just unbolt the 10mm nuts and loosen and drop the cooler and remove the oil lines on the garage floor.

where do you get crush washers or do they come with the new lines only?

I might not need new lines just yet.

You can order new washers from your local dealer, Mazdatrix, or almost any hydraulic shop or fastener shop. Bring the old ones for size.
