where to get nuts and bolts?

when you guys damage/strip/completely destroy nuts and bolts on your FC, where do you go to get new ones? Autozone and Kragen are certainly no help. You know, like little phillips bolts and 10-20mm nuts, etc.? If you go to buy them, how can you tell what pitch they are, etc?

I have to get them from the dealer, since most places don't sell automotive nuts/bolts, damn weird pitches

Forget about automotive supply outfits. If they do have any bolts they'll rip you off on the price. They don't carry them because hardware stores carry a bazillion of them in bulk and sell them dirt cheap. You'll make more money devoting shelf space to $90 air filters than you will to 50 cent bolts...

Find a Home Depot. They carry bulk nuts and bolts and will also have a gauge for determining what kind of bolt you've brought in. I'd suggest getting someone there to match it for you - you don't want to **** it up and have to go back... Then you can take as many matching ones as you want (don't forget to pay for them on your way out.)

Me too for Crappy Tire - but our bud here's in San Diego. No Crappy Tire for him.
