Where to get Clutches for LSD Rebuild???

I've googled the mess out of it and can't figure out where to get a rebuild "kit" for a NA LSD. Any fingers in the correct direction is gladly welcome.

Thanks, What is the best combo to go with as far as the thicker parts?

Dang, It comes out to about $430 bucks...didn't expect it to be that high.

You need to take the diff apart and see what discs/ parts are out of spec. The likelyhood is low that all would need to be replaced. The FSM has the specs for the plates and the springs.

Gotcha, I'll take it apart and measure them.

Make sure you measure the backlash before you remover the "chunk".

Well, I lucked out and everything hardly even worn. The most worn item was one of the thrust washers which was at 1.5mm. All the friction discs were at Standard Thickness (no appreciable wear).

If I were wanting a little more lock-up, what would be the best way to do it? I was thinking about just getting 2 new thrust washers that were 0.2mm oversized. Would that be all that I need? I haven't ever rebuilt an LSD before...

Also, How do you know when the cone springs need to be replaced? I never found the tolerances for them.

They aren't that expensive, might as well replace them as they've probably seen better days. Replacing the thrust washers will give you more lockup, both initial and under load. The thicker they are the more it happens, but it's a very sensitive thing, a small difference in size makes a large difference in lockup. There's a good thread on miata.net about it. Some people there use our diffs in their cars.

Would it harm anything to run just one oversized Thrust washer? or does it need to be symetrical? For some reason I am having trouble getting on miata.net right now.
