where does this hose go, 88 T2

i just removed all the emissions stuff and most of the vacum lines on my 88 T2. there is a hose i can't find on the diagram though. it is on the intake side on the center housing. there is a nipple coming off the housing go horizontal towrds the back of the car. there is a hose with a bend that connects it to the hardpipe i think. does that hose run into the hardline then go through a check valve into the TID?

Without seeing what you are talking about I cant help you. Maybe if you explain it a little better. There is a vac line on the center housing between two of the oil injectors. You can probably only see this vac line when you take the upper manifold off. Is this what you are talking about? This vac line goes to the second from top nipple on the intake manifold (right near firewall).

When did you get the t2? did you sell the na? 3rd gen?

Do you maybe mean the nipple on the INTAKE MANIFOLD, that slants to the rear of the engine. It hooks to the metal line just aft of the primary fuel injectors. That metal line heads for the organge (fpr) solenoid, then from the orange solenoid, back to the fuel pressure regulator. There's no nipple on the center housing, so I assume thats the one you talk about. Its the only one that SLANTS towards the rear of the engine. Again, the metal pipe that it connects to (with a vac hose), is the one approx one inch below the slanting nipple.

sold the n/a. 3rd gen i should have back soon but i need to find a garage until we get the shop.
the nipple comes straight off the center housing itself. it is right above the oil dipstick. i forgot to take a picture while i was in there but u need to remove the manifold and IC bracket to see it. it is within 3 inches othe top of the dipstick handle

Oh. I was thinking vacuum hose etc. On the left side of the engine there is the pipe pointing straight aft. Connects via a hose to a metal pipe on the firewall and goes to the right side of the engine to the charcoal canister. Crankcase vent line.

that's what i figured it was. i no longer have a charcoal cnaister though. if that hose goes there where does the check valve that sits in the TID go? and can i connect the two?

the one thick one? right behind the oil filler? you suppose to vent that or put a little filter on it, same goes with the nipple on the oil filler pipe, do NOT plug em or u'll smoke like a bIATCHHH.

Trust me i know, i just did the ratnest removal few days ago.
