the best place to mount it would be in one of the bins unless you want it to show...............you always have the option of mounting it underneath the passenger's seat. As far as size it depends on what aplication it's for...............a tiny bottle for Intercooler injection.....other than that it all depends on what you want to do with the car........

As far as optimal mounting, it gets mounted on an approximately 30 degree angle such that the pickup sits at the bottom of the bottle, facing the back of the car.

i put mine in my bin at the 30* angle. had to get a little creative to keep it concealed though. its a 10lb bottle so the handle sticks above the bin... its in the drivers side bin with the valve sticking right by the b pillar. nice clean hard to spot and easy access. my switches and gauge are in the center counsil thing

Has anyone fit it in the back where the spare tire is? could a 10lb bottle fit back there?

honestly keeping a high pressure vessel in the spare tire bin is just asking for trouble....the warning probably has something that says "do not puncture..set on fire blah blah...." and yeah....nitrous itself isnt flamable..but the bottle will probably make a nice grenade if it explodes

OK, so it looks like putting it in the spare tire area is not recomended, lol. But i like to keep stuff (tools, car cover, ect..) in my cargo bin so i'd like to keep that clear. And i take it noone has put the tank in the spare tire area, for obvious reasons. is there any other smart places to mount it? has anyone put it behind the pass. seat? would a 10lb bottle fit under the seat? post pics of your setup

for safety reasons a pressurized tank should be mounted vertically, at most at a 45 degree angle away from the driver, that is just recommendations though in case the cap does pop off. not that there is anyplace that is away from the driver in a car, if the cap comes off and it isn't secure it will bottle rocket all around the inside of that car until it finds a window to eject itself from.

i would think 5lbs wouldnt be very fun as i always run out of n2o seconds before i pull up on real some real competition and i have to pass it up with a 10lb bottle. 10lbs would probably fit behind the pass seat but no way is that going under the seat. seriously if you want a clean hidden install, put it in your bin. im sure there are some things in there that you can put in your spare tire well.

Also, if you do a google search or search this forum, you'll find plenty of information on a safe nitrous setup for a rotary. But I can tell you right now that you should NOT run a dry system on a rotary.

Hey, i didnt buy it, i got it as a B-day pressent. I never plan to use NOS. i just dont want to. even if it were a 50shot wet kit, i wouldnt. I have no plans to hook it up. i had nitrous in my 69 mustang, it was a lot of fun. but i dont see it for any of my rx7's, only my friends did.
