where do i go?

hey guys i just bought a turbo motor and some of the stuff is broken and disconnected and im not sure where it goes. here are some picture this piece is right above the turbo . right now im just trying to get the motor in the car and see if will start and idle. ive got some emission lines that i have no idea where they go also here an image . any help is greatly appriecated i searched for along time and it looks like everyone just removes the rats nest. Personally im going to leave it until i have a full stand alone because the stock ecu was designed with these and runs properly with these. like i said i just want to get it to turn over an idle i still need some pieces and want to replace/ clean pieces.. thanks alot guys......brian

i believe the top image is a oil line im not sure where it goes to. i think i can get away without the emissions stuff hooked up and it will still idle maybe rough but itll idle. i turned the motor over by hand and i got one pshhhh out of each and they wernt even.....bummer hopefully the seals are just stuck and i can loosen them up.

Go to the Factory service manual on Teamfc3s.org. That will tell you everything you need to know.

hmm i was there for the emissions stuff it is hard to follow with the intake manifold on, im probably gonna rip stuff apart i really just wanted to see if i could get this motor to start and have good compression before i start working on other stuff, tb mod, cleaning the injectors, porting intake, new gaskets, silly stuff like that. im just really wondering where that big broken line in the first picture goes ill have to check the fsm and see if i can find out..

Those things aren't silly. They need to be done in order for the engine to run correctly.

1st one is the split air pipe and the second pic is missing vac lines from your emissions. If emissions is not an issue in your state you might want to remove it by searching the many threads that cover that topic. Otherwise get yourself the vac diagram which can easily be obtained by using the search function. Good luck

yea but there not worth doing on a motor that has bad seals, wells they are but damn i dont want another blown motor. I believe the top image is the feed to the heater core. it is hard to see from the images on the fsm. as it showes the oil passage into the turbo that sits next to it but not that line. Im not positive thjats its to the heater core because when i took the piece off there was a darker residue inside like it was a oil passage, but there were no images on the fsm to prove it.... any help greatly appreciated thanks guys

rotorface i missed your post, thanks bro, ill have to get the vacuum diagram. Ive read about the emissions removal, there already all there except for those few hoses so its not that big of a deal to leave them on for now.

The broken tube in the first image is an emissions line that comes from the cat. I would just take it off and put a block off plate there.
