Where did you find a dead turbo 2
Where did you find a dead turbo 2
I've spent a very long time trying to find a turbo 2 in the north west that is dead and has a fairly straight body. Where do you guys that pick them up usually find them?? I want a car that needs a bit of work but is not a huge price (I'd pay probably somewhere on the order of 1500 for one with a dead motor and decent body for s4, more for s5)
found mine from my friend of almost a year and got it for a grand total of 300 bucks.
It needs a lot of working on it and sleepless bloody handed nights but hey I love this.

Nice deal 87. yeah, I've been asking on forums, watching papers and what not and I just don't see them for anything around 1k-1.5k One of the guys on the forum picked one up that fit my description that fell in his lap and he lives in my area though. :-/

Zjbarra, if you want to make the drive come to Colorado I can find them all day and night for that price. I know of a 89 s5 TII with 104k with a blown motor on it. he is asking $1000.00 for it. it used to be my buddys old car. TRUST me you can find them all night and day around here.
God, I would really like the s5. Might consider that one, could you PM me some pics or email me at zjbarra@hotmail.com?

I found an 86 that was kinda similar to gambone's. I found it at a Mazda dealership back when I was looking for my car. I asked the guy if I could crank it up, but he told me it wouldnt start because the engine was dead. When I tried to crank it, the engine was flooded. I could have gotten it for cheap, but I wasn't going to get an NA unless it had a lot of mods. And at least his wheels are facing the same direction, mine are different.
Zjbarra, I can find out the guys tel# and I will e-mail it to U. Its not my friends any more but I know where the guy lives. Its a blaze red with black interior etc.... my friend bought it with 42k org miles on it and sold it with 102k on it then the motor dies at 104k. it might be a week or so till I e-mail you. I will try sooner.
I bought a fliped 87 TII with a street port, full suspension, lt weight fly wheel, and manny racingbeat goodies for $800, off a friend of a friend. Sold all the rest of the stock stuff I didnt want or need for my TII swap and got my money back! There out there you just have to wait for the right car to come along
I used newspaperlinks.com and searched every Sunday paper in a 500 miles radius till I found one in Oregon, about 400 miles away .. called the guy, made an offer, got a uhaul and brought it down.

Got mine with 93k for $600, was supposed to be a blown engine but turned out to be a dead battery and a stuck/loose AFM.... found it online at craigslist.com, or something like that... :P
