where to buy metric brass fittings online?

I don't know if this is even worth the effort, I want to put an electric temp guage on my car. The Hole in the block is a m8x1 thread pitch and I need to adapt it to 1/8 pipe.

There's no problem getting an m10x1 adapter, but where do I get a m8x1 adapter.. ?

I'm going to need at least two of them (two cars) I don't want to be tapping the waterpump housing, especially on the FD since its not mine

Anyhow, thanks in advance.

Good luck. This has went around a few times. Don't believe I've heard the answer yet. Try smcprod@gte.net Steve is THE man when it comes to stuff like this. He's nice as hell too. If he can't get it it doesn't exist. The thread in the block is actually what is called a 1/8BSP (British Standard Pipe). If Steve can't get one I pieced an adapter together at a local parts house. It took three pieces and is about 2" long, which isn't too bad as it gets the wiring back off the motor. If you get in a total jam I can put one together for you.

I think I'm going to just tap into the waterpump housing, it solves a few headaches this way. Thanks anyways

Be careful tapping the water pump housing. Finding a good spot is tough. Make sure you get a good thick spot. I've had them leak on me and it's no fun. Atleast drop Steve an email and see what he's got to say.
