When is the fuel pump too big?
I have calculated my expected fuel consumption requirements. I need a new fuel pump and the Walbro is just barely big enough and some are too big it seems, ie the Aeromotive A1000 and the new SX pumps. When is the fuel pump too big?
*Fuel pump regulator* <--Regulates fuel pump
It dont matter if its a 500GPH or a 5000GPH,if you have it set to where you need it,(fuel pump regulator) then it should be ok .
I would be more concern in amprage draw, between the pumps your thinking of,if you know they both will do the job.

the big downside of getting one way to big is that it'll heat the fuel up more. a really big pump will cycle a full tank like every 5-10mins which really heats it up. hotter fuel would detonate easier. same as hotter air.
what you could do with the big pump is find a way to lower voltage under crusing etc like the stock ecu does.
or use 2 walbros

If you need more than a walbro, just go for the RP one:
