When does your boost kick in?

I was reading a thread on this forum and a guy said that he didnt get full boost until 3rd or 4th gear. I am pretty sure I get full boost in every gear and i think it kicks in at 3000 rpm. My ? is do you guys get full boost in all of your gears and when does your boost kick in?

Peace

I get full boost in all my gears. It starts building good at about 3000, and then I get a little kick at 4000.I'm pretty sure I get full boost in 1st, but I'm not in 1st very long, so I only get full boost for a sec.I'm sure I get full boost in the rest of my gears.

Yeah, my peak hold boost gauge confirms .65 Kg/cm2 (9.4psi?) even in first-loses traction from a rolling start. Feels very strong above 3k rpm. Before with my broken up/ clogged precat it built much slower and sometimes not even close to full stock (.4 Kg/cm2?) boost.

Yeah, similar results here. Although my boost dosen't come up until about 3500-4000, but that is due to my hybrid T04. I am at about 14-16psi very quick once it spools. That is in every gear.

I don't get full boost in any of my gears. Hell, I don't boost at all. Infact, the only boost I get is when the wind blows the same direction I'm driving, or someone rams into my back bumper while I'm driving.

I'm a Newbie to turbos so ............I notice that on the stock boost gauge I never reach the two hash marks on top. The last bar I never get into. I get to the space between the last bar and the second to last bar. I notice that even though I get to the space between the last two bars, that the needle creeps back to the middle of the second to last bar. This happens consistently in second, third and forth. First goes by too quickly. Fifth I did not try. I've read a lot of posts that say do not pay attention to the factory gauge. I guess I'll buy a boost gauge someday. Gotts get good shocks, Mazdatrix exaust from turbo to tail pipe first then new tires. Priorites. Maybe ball joints too. Then gauge, fuel pump etc.
