I live in Iowa and winters get cold and we have had a fiew already. I go to start my 88 TII to let it warm up, i start it and then if i let go of the clutch it dies....but if i drive it around the block ones it dont. anyone have any idea on wtf is wrong with my car, cuz its damn cold driving my car around the block befour school in a cold *** car. Thanks

 

Have you disabled the accelerated warmup? When you start the car usually, does it shoot to 3k rpms for ~15 seconds, and then settle down to a normal idle?

 

No i havent disabled that, does it mater, if i do with it not die when i let of the clutch?

 

Are you SURE it's the clutch that's killing it? If you sit there with the clutch pedal pressed, it stays running?
Mine stalls a lot when cold unless I tap the gas pedal while it's doing that 3K warm-up or just after...

The warm up wont work if your car is gear....

Are you starting in neutral?
