You're running "about" a 50 shot. Not really sure?

2 1/2 inch should be good for up to about 325 horsepower. 3" would just be over killer and add extra weight. I am pretty sure a 3" is good for up to like 800-1000hp. I know some guys that tried a 4" exhaust but that was on a supra making like over 1200 hp. If you still want to brag about having a 3" exhaust start the system at 2 1/2 at the engine an expand as it goes back. Thats really how an exhaust system should be designed. Hot gasses dont need as large of pipes because they still have high pressure which leads to better flow. As the gas cools looses pressure and slows down it needs a bigger pipe to travel through.

I would not put a 3" system on an N/A. That is good for a turbo because backpressure is created by the turbo, then the turbo needs to push the exhaust out as fast as possible.

A N/A engine needs some back pressure in the exhaust and a full 3" would not have enough restriction.

I am currently building a custom 2.5" single exhaust for mine and 2.5" is still very big for the displacement of our engines.

That ugly rumor comes up again. Backpressure is not needed for an engine to run. Prove it, either with a dyno or mathmatically.
