Exclamation Wheel Problems

ok i have a problem i have an 87 N/A... i let my friend put on the wheels on my car and he stripped atleast one bolt for each wheel (you know the 4 bolts that the wheel sits on) so i decided to changed all of them incase another one goes bad or breaks because there old so i bought 16 bolts 4 for each wheel. would anybody have a write up on how to get to them fast( i know have to take the wheel, disk breaks and calipers off) anything else? its going to be freezin outside this week so imnot tryin to be out there for hours and i got a snap-on tool kit liek 500pcs so i shouldnt have a problem with tools

Oh you're talking about the wheel lug bolts on the wheel hub, hmm... I usually change the whole hub not just the lug. You'd need like a hydraulic press to remove those wheel lug bolts, you might have to take the hub to a machine shop and have them press the old ones out and the new ones in. Look in the factory service manual on page 9-14. It'll show you everything.

depends if there enough clearance, i've never needed a press to remove a wheel stud before but it depends if they can be removed without pulling the hub off the knuckle. a hammer and a few good whacks on each broken stud is usually enough to get em to pop out. to get the new studs in i use a large diameter tapered flat faced nut, i place the lugnut on top and use some anti sieze and run it down until it seats, be sure to clean all of the anti sieze off of the threads on the stud and inside the nut before you torque it down with the wheel in place.
