Wheel offset for 17x9 rims?
Wheel offset for 17x9 rims?
Can one fit 17x9 rims under stock rear fenders without them sticking out or rubbing? If so what would the ideal offset be? Last time I searched for info on wheel offsets for the FC I never really found anything useful, any links would be appreciated too
17x9 +25 275 rear
17x9 +25 245 front
car is on stock springs and shocks..

the rears fit perfect, the front stick out a little to much. 30mm fenders would probably make the front perfect.

well, it's not sticking out too bad grip, but still a little more than I would want to, I guess I don't understand offsets though, I would have though +25 would stick in more and +35 out more, but it seems to be the opposite?

anytime tire's out of the wheel wel, it is mucho dangerous, or CHO ABUNAI.
if you're not rubbing it, you're not shifting weights properly.
it is mucho dangerous if you do shift weights fully.

I think by weight shifting he means body roll.
You can always PM Rishie (ARD-T2) for any wheel or suspension questions. Heh, He's the resident 'wheel guru san', he owns a wheel/suspension/JDM goodie shop (Automotive RnD in the SF bay Area) and he also sold me the RPF1s in the pic I posted.
Not to mention he's a cool, honest, and knowledgeable guy.

on any car, you want to have a wider track. for example, wider track(with less offset) on front will negate understeer.
but if your tires are sticking out farther than your fender permits to do, it is a dangerous situation.
by weightshifting i meant, compression of the shock via weight transfer when cornering.
with tire sticking out the fender, there is a good chance fender biting into the treads.
wouldn't be a problem in rain or snow, but dry grippy surface, fender will bite into the tire tread.
