Yah I've been thinking about the engine torque brace for a while, when I pull my motor to port it I'm going to inspect the motor mounts, probably replace them with some better solid ones.

Those are pretty easy to check and change out without pulling the motor. One pretty easy way to tell is with your hood open and the e-brake locked load up the motor in gear a bit while looking at the top of your motor (look between the cowl and the hood ) and see how much the motor rocks over.
Keep in mind when you are lauching it is much worse than what you will see doing this test.

You could pull the 4 bolts and yank the hood and take it to an empty parking lot and do one of your 6k launches if you really wanna see what happens

Yah I know you can check them without pulling the motor, but I was just going to inspect and probably replace them when I do my porting.

I don't think I want to see what happens when I do a 6k launch I'm probably not being very nice to my motor on those.

The Atkins (Atkins Rotary) got a diff mount last month and they said it fixed their wheel hop. This was on a supercharged 2nd gen. Here is the link to Kathy Atkins post on it http://www.vintagerotaries.com/FORUM...scalliwag#5294

well i just ordered wheels and tires, the rears are 17x9 with 265-40's, i don't know about good struts and springs cuz that might lower it onto the wheels, but i'm definetly going to get solid motor mounts and solid diff. mounts and maybe even get a suspension bushing kit

this spring I checked my motor mounts and both were completely sepearated. I replaced them both with chunks of 2x4 and it's fantastic. no (additional) vibration, clutch feels better, etc.

My rear suspension is starting to squeak when launching the car (just normally).. I think my diff mount is #$()*d. I'll have a look at it this week.
