wheel bolt pattern?

i have an 88 se rx-7, i'm wondering if there were any other weird bolt patterns other than the 4x4.5? i tried to put a set of mustang pony wheels on it my buddy gave me (4x4.5), but the pattern was too wide. just wondering if there were any other bolt patterns for that year.

for reference, it has these wheels on it now.

Are you sure it's a SE? S4 came with 4 bolt pattern except for the SE I think, S5 all came with 5 lug. If you want you can always do a simple conversion.

What size are my wheels?
The stock sizes all have an offset of 40mm or 40 ET and are:
14x5.5 (steel) w/114.3x4 bolt pattern (Base)
14x5.5 w/ 114.3x4 bolt pattern (Base, Luxury, 87.5-88 SE)
15x6 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (GXL, Sport, GTU, 91 coupe)
15x6.5 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (convertible)
16x7 w/ 114.3x5 bolt pattern (Turbo, GTUs, Infini IV)
That's your options.

Your rims are 114.3x4 bolt pattern. The 114.3 is a measurement of how the bolts line up (I'm not sure how it's measured). But... you need rims with that same measurement.

114.3mm is the diameter of the circle that the four holes fall on.

i understand that, i'm saying 114.3mm converted over to inches is 4.5". these wheels i have are 4x4.5", so why don't they fit? the pattern spacing seems like its a lot wider than the rx7's, is there any chance i have a 4x100 or 4x110 pattern? i was thinking they only produced that pattern on some of the fb's

Hmmmm. 114.3mm does convert to 4.5" which I should of checked prior to my previous post. But still, as listed above, those are you only options. He may have given you the wrong dimensions.

fox body mustangs are 108x4 (4.25x4). if you see 4.5" stamped on the wheel it is the backspacing.

anyway... wheels that fit base model FC...

...89-94 nissan 240sx
...95-96 base nissan 240sx
...sentra
...mazda protege,626,323,miata, 84-85? rx7 (some model i think fits...)
...celica supra
...AE86 corolla wheels
...96-98 nissan 180SX

FC runs some of the smallest hubs in the industry <60mm.
I doubt it's the hub bore.

NOT all 4 lug Mustangs run 4 x 4.5" - I bet it's not.
