My car is actually in good shape overall. No dents, the paint looks awesome, and the interior is in good shape. Here is a list of what's wrong:

wont idle with the AC on and the idle is sometimes erratic.

passenger power window failed. its now fixed.

wipers only work on low speed.

power door locks work 20% of the time.

throw out release bearing makes a lot of noise.

rear suspension creaks over uneven surfaces.

low fuel light only turns on when first started during the bulb check.

the black leather is a little faded (lexol worked wonders though) and the driver's seat has a rip along the bolster and some cracking.

the small driver's window demister grill broke in half.

When I bought the car there where no problems except for a slightly torn drivers seat and oxidizing paint on the hood. Then a Jeep Cherokee w/ a brush gaurd decided to "improve" the look of the rear end! Jackass...

after $10K, all that's left is

rear floor floods when it rains (AFTER new top)
a couple logicon dash lamps are out
cruise inop
rear defog inop
low fuel light only works when starting during warning bulb check

these items will never be fixed

I am over this car

In all fairness, I must say that the car runs better than ever and eventually (soon I hope) after all the vert w/strips are replaced, I will again be in love with it again.

I am realy glad though to have found Mazda Pros in S Miami... highly recommended.

Well lets see.
- Driver side leather seat has a huge tear on the *** part
- Car dies when A.C. is turned on (if its not moving at least)
- Sunroof is a pain to close but opens fine
- Its an automatic!

Other than that everything works great and the car looks really good.

gas tank full of rust!!!

I just picked up a sweet 87 na car and had some problems with it running very well. After 2 days of dinking around I decided to check the fuel filter and found much brown crunch stuff so I figured it had to coming from.......I never seen so much rust in such a gas tank.

Weird *** idling pulsations
Squeeky suspension

few things:

cracked lower control arm
oil cooler line leak
other misc. stuff like abs light (bypassed abs) and e-brake light. will check on that once i get everything else done.
paint isn't the greatest either. need new fenders (rusted on bottom) and front bumper (pic link below)
shifter bushings needed
driverside window motor
gotta check out truck release cable
there's more...

that's all that's really left. it's really become quite a driveway ornament lately.

here's pics:
cracked lower control arm
oil cooler
nice little mark after 5 minute idle... more under car
puddle
front

resolving one problem usually results in finding another problem.... err

Engine is in pieces in the basement of the place I'm staying.
General interior wear & tear.
Shifter blows hot air into the car.
Sunroof sticks.
Brakes need replacement badly.
Worn synchros.
Paint job is in need of a redo.

Yet I'm still looking forward to getting it running again (It was my daily driver. :-/ It will soon be again). Just annoyed at how expensive it is vs how much I'm making on the internship (I got the car because my other one isn't suited to anything other than a college car).

door ajar/lights on alarm doesnt work, security system inop, passenger inside door handle broken, backup lights never worked since day one, idle goes up and down, auto seatbelts diabled cuz they got stuck, shifter boot cracked, busted an apex seal (new engine fixed that) worn rear shocks make a squeaky racket on a hot day, minor dents in fuselage er..........., body, cracked air vents, turn signal flashes really fast even though all bulbs work, paint chips/peels in various spots and babe missing from passenger seat. i will however still continue to turn down offers to buy it. because i enjoy driving it.

The lower rear exaust manifold stud sheared off when removing the turbo and exaust manifold. Tried an EZ out and it won't budge and I ain't a gonna keep trying til the EZ out breaks off in the hole and compounds my problem. Used a eighth inch drill to drill the center of the stud out.......brought that hole size up considerably with another drill......used my biggest ezout and it won't budge.......looks like I'm well on my way to having to install a Helicoil. Ah shucks and fiddle sticks. So much for installing my hybrid from Majestic Turbos today.

Alternator issues, that never go away
deck that cuts out everytime i come to a complete stop
missing vent on passenger side
idiot lights dont work and i cant find the harness!(damn interior swap!)
2nd and 3rd gear boosting spurts like bad tps or coils
floods(but i have a switch installed!!)
everything else is great!
Unfortunately the "little issues" are still major
