What's wrong with my tail lights?

This question came up in another topic, and the only other answer I got just confused me even more.

Someone was showing off their car, which is the same series as both of mine (s4).

Their car had different taillights than mine do.

Theirs had black masking lines all over the taillights, and apparently they're supposed to be like that. Mine, though, are just circles with a red lense over them.

Are these aftermarket?

it appears you have the S5 or 89-91 tails apposed to the S4 86-88 tails

They're interchangeable?

Thank god, because I'm not fond of the other kind. . . .

About how much will a lense cost me, btw, because I have a chipped one (hardly noticeable, but, yeah)

I think the s4's look better. Even though the style of the s5 was carried over to the 3rd gen.

I dunno. Is the price for the spoiler that bad? Because mine is a bit sunbaked.
