Question What's wrong with my Passenger side power window?

This morning, both of my windows went down smoothly with no problems
So I left work and I started up the 7 and drove off and I put the windows down and for some reason my passenger side window didn't go down and I kept pressing the button but then after I pressed it a few times the passenger side window went down and I started to worry why it did that . So after I parked up in front of my house, I put the windows up and both went up fine . Then I tried to make sure the passenger side window would go down but then it did the same thing to me again but this time it's not going down. I went to check the fuses and I replaced the power window fuse (30A) but it still won't go down.

Has anyone had this problem before on their FC? What would I have to check? It was working fine this morning, what could have caused this problem..?

you only have to do the driver side switch it's the master switch you have to take off the door panel to get to them.
when you have the door panel off its a couple of screws and clips that hold it on you can take out the power window switch it is held on by two clips iirc just push it up and it should come out it pretty easy you can probably just look at it to figure out how to take it apart.

No need to remove the door panel. The window switch can be pried out of the armrest with something thin, like a knife or a small screwdriver.

I'm getting this same problem only it (passenger side) wont go down with both driver and passenger side switches. I think I need to replace the fuse, but I have no idea where it is. Advice?

Oh and I just replaced the driver side switch about 3 months ago.

Also my door handle on the drivers side doesn't open from the outside ever since I bought my 7. Since I have the door panel off, Is there a way to fix the door handle to open from the outside? This would make things easier for me because I always have to go to the passenger side to open my driver's door

you first unplug it then the little gold tabs on each side push them in and push up on the switch it should pop out the door.
to gain acces to the internals remove the screws on the bottom of the swith but be carefull and don't lose the small pieces inside.

Your door handle is broken. Common FC failure.

It might be a good idea to disassemble the switch inside a large plastic bag. Little pieces can go flying if you're not careful.

Yeah you're right, I went to a body shop to check it out and they said it was the door handle from the outside. I've been trying local junk yards and none so far had any fc's to be used as parts.

But I ended fixing the problem with the power windows..Thanks for your help!
