I tried a search the other day and got different answers for different cars.

I need to know so that I can put in the weight to my GTECh.

I know that it is on the door jam but I also read somewhere that the weight on the jam is also including 180 lbs of passenger weight X 2 maybe....?

I dont know so help a brother out with the right figure or at least tell me how to interpret the weight on the door jam.

Also, why not just take it to a local weight station and drive through and get a actual weight?

 

1990 GXL 2790 lbs, thats from Road and Track.

 

My '89 GXL when it was an auto and fully loaded wieghed in at 2910lbs on the scale. After a 5 speed swap, A.C. removal, new exhaust (single with no cats), and odds and ends removed I'm down to 2740lbs. But I'm sure the autos are alot heavier because that auto trans was ****** way heavier.

 

my 90 GX without a stereo, spare/jack, a/c, p/s weighs 1100kg...about 2400lbs?

(no driver...half tank of gas)
