What's up Peeps?
Hey what's going on....I just wanted to introduce myself to ya'll. I'm Angel....originally from the ICCH club but I was recommended here by a guy named Keith, he says he's the Rx7club president but I'm not quite sure if this is the site he was talking about. Anyways I have a question for you that you might be able to help me out with. I was just curious if any of you know where I can get a pre race prepped 13B Turbo motor or one with very low mile or even a No milage completely rebuilt engine. Mine has 108k on it but I want a fresh one for the mods that I'm gonna put on it and for the HP I wanna push. This is not something that's gonna happen in the very near future but I wanna know so I can begin my search. Thanks!

I have a question.....
Sorry about the font color fellas.....I'm into colors. Anyways I was just curious as to what the hell is the difference in $ and in power from a Jspec and a JDM 13BT motor? Which is one is better? Is mine worth fixing? Like I said it has 108k miles on it and it doesn't smoke or leak or burn oil. Please get back to me on this.

J-spec (Japanese spec) and JDM (Japanese domestic market) mean the same thing! If you meant the difference between US and Jap engine, there's no difference in output, the US cars just had extra emission control equipment.

I always thought that Japanese spec engines have more HP and power output.....Like the type R Honda motors in Japan are more faster than the ones for the U.S. market. I figured it would be the same for rotaries.

That's got more to do with what models are sold in each country. If you knew about half of the top-spec engines that are only available in Japan, you'd cry! But they only made one version of the 13BT at a time, and it was fitted to all cars in all markets, with some extra emissions bits for the US cars.
Actually there was a small run of the the Japan-only Efini III which had more power and less weight, but these are rare as rocking horse droppings!
