Whats this thing?

Ok, this is pretty much the last thing I need to get my engine put together, but I have no idea what it is...Lets see if the site wants to be nice to me and let me post a pic...here goes..anyone know what it is and where it goes? BTW, its on the driver side of engine bay..

Looks like the oil level sensor. Is there a hole in your oil pan?

Is that what it is? How does it go into the oil pan, because if you mean it goes into a hole on the outside, I dont have any holes on the outside. I have oil in the pan and it didnt leak out..Ill check though, because that seems to be where it leads too.

yeah.........i think he's right....there should be a connector just a bit farther down that wire.......

SWEET, that was it. Thanks man. Now I see why I was confused. I had an extra one hanging out in the engine bay already attatched to the harness, and the other one was already in the pan but not attatched. Thanks!

shoot..........i thought about that too b/c u normally disconnect the senor and not rip them out. LOL
