I need some sound files. I havent got this car fixed yet, I plan on unflooding it this weekend. I'm dying to know what its going to sound like

Ask a guy named Xentrix for a copy of a sound clip of his car. He has a full exhaust installed, but it will give you an idea. Mine sounds like a wheed whacker on crack.

 

Check my turbocharged NA video. Sounds very, very sweet.

 

It sounds exactly like a Ford V8 doesn't.



I've found that you either like the sound or you don't - no in-between. IMO it sounds like a well-tuned Honda or Toyota inline 4 with no valvetrain noise or piston slap. Smooooooth.

I can’t remember seeing any sound or video clips of NA’s, but if you look for a post by Scott89t2 and click on his movie, that’s a sweet sounding Turbo.
Also got to www.3rotor.com and check out the dozens of videos and sound clips there. There are lots of videos of Lance’s 20B powered cars, but also lots of drag racing videos and other stuff to watch and listen to, including the 4-rotor Le Mans car! Don’t expect yours to sound quite like that though...

You guys made me think it was going to sound all crazy I guess I'll just stick with the stock exhaust and just clean the car up and keep it running lol, after all its just to get me to and from work for a month or two. Thanks for the help so far guys!

 

You should have heard mine when it was ok. Man, that thing sounded AEWSOME at WOT. Childern cried, women fainted, and men got a hard on!!

My car had a full exhaust from headers to the catback.

Whenever my new catback arrives I'll make another mp3 of my car with a t2 exhaust. if you think the posted mp3 is loud, this is like 100x louder.

Hey Xentrix, what kind of car does your buddy drive that redlines at only 6250 and he cant seem to understand why our redline of 8000 burns more oil, well not so much the redline just the basis of the rotary,

just kinda curious. Also do you have any vidoes of that scene instead of just sound??

I love the way the rotary sounds. It sounds like a damn 2-stroke super bike. Maybe because it has only 1300cc's, 3 moving parts, and a 8000 redline.

Exactly! At first I wasn't sure if I really liked the sound of my FC, but the more I heard it, the more it really sounded like a sport motorcycle. I LOVE the way it sounds when you blast through a tunnel at high RPM.
