Whats the proper break in method for a S4 T2 block?
i keep hearing different ways to break in an engine, and i just want to know whats the proper mileage to put on the engine, and what weight oil i should use and what not, im just really lost, so many people tell me different things
lol...the people that happen to come across this thread aren't going to give you any better advice than those long threads about break in.
Most people do 500 miles no boost, then occasional part throttle low RPM low load boost, more boost as the mileage increases and then 800 miles you are good to go.

I have heard 1000 miles with no boost and an oil change at 500 and 1000. Then work you way up to redline until 2000 then your good to go. I say it just varies. I would check around. I have only rebuilt a n/a and did atleast 1000 before going past 4 grand.

depends on how many of the parts in the engine are new.
new bearings require more breakin. new apex seals/housings require more breakin.
if anything give it a few heat cycles and an oil change before you start thrashing on it.
