Arrow Whats this plug for??? Is it important????

Today I was looking at my engine to see how I was gonna install a Apexi BOV and saw this plug I dont know what it is or what its for. Im sure someone knows, prolly all of you, im still new to the T2.

I think that's the fuel pump bypass connecter.

Where's it located? The fuel pump bypass is by the passenger side strut tower.

yeah thats where it is, i found it under the stock bov. it hasnt been pluged in since iv had the car i just noticed it today and the car seems to run good.
I just looked and cant see anywhere it would plug into

Yea it looks like the fuel pump test plug. I've never seen that protective plastic around it though. Easy way to test is to ground it and turn the key to the ON position and listen for the fuel pump. If it goes on then you know what it is.

that's definetly the fuel pump tester thingy. you've never seen one with the rubber surrounding it? all of the 3 that I've owned have had it... wierd...
