Whats missing? Shifter boots

I think I am missing something but I don't know what. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

You are missing what appears to be a metal plate that has a rubber boot attached to it via the shifter itself. The plate is what keeps the shifter in its place...if this makes any sence let me know...I dont have a pic of it but i know it cost me $30 from my local mazda dealer to replace.

Insulation. The crappy sheep/old carpet/ground up chipmunk brown/tan/rust colored "cloth". There's other stuff you can use, but it helps keep sound (and heat I think) down. Some people have used rags and stuffed them in there.
