Whats a good street turbo for a 13b?

What is a good turbo that wont give too much lag (full boost in the 3000rpm range) and will alow some good times on a street ported 13b with exhaust port work?

id suggest something in the T04 family. not too big, but still capable of making good power. depending on how you set up your turbo and car, you can get full boost in the 3k rpm range with no problem.

It will have a custom header so they will flow good and the exhaust will be virtually free flowing since I have no emmissions to worry about.

No emissions in CA, bad bad boy, , just FYI, the ticket for that is like $2K very bad.

As for the turbo, i have heard (and im going to use) the T04E for a really nice street turbo.

sounds good to me. the turbo can be set up differently too though. depending on how big the exhaust wheel is and whatnot, you can sorta "set" your boost curve. in a nutshell. bigger exhaust wheels make big power in top RPMs but are laggy. small wheels make boost quick, but run out of steam on top.

So your putting a turbo on an NA? If so expect things to break with the kind of power a TO4 can make.

It will be in a '68 510 so I am not worried

The motor will be rebuilt around the turbo when it goes on so I am not too worried about breaking stuff, I will also be doing some trans work at the same time to get the gear ratio's dailed in where I want them
