whats the box behind the trailing coils?

Theres a metal box with some wires coming out right behind the trailing coils (when looking from the front of the car) The bottom portion of it is a tan plastic, and it's held in by a philips head screw. What is this? One more, the relays lined up in front of the radiator, theres two cylinders and two rectangular ones, the leftmost rectangular one is the main engine relay (blue) correct? It's labeled on its connector, NO, NC, blank, COM, COIL, COIL. Thanks in advance.

Behind the coil closer to the shock tower is the starter cut relay. The next one over, closer to the firewall is the main relay.

The relays in the bumper area are mainly for the headlights, air con and powersteering.

There's a nice pic in the FSM, in the back of the wiring manual, showing all of these guys...

There is no relay called the "engine" relay, only the main relay. It feeds everything on the engine (injectors, coils, sensors, solenoids, etc). It's located immediately behind the trailing coils.

It's (the Main Relay), the big gold relay, with TWO electrical plugs attached to it. There's another relay in that area with but one electrical connector. It's a Starter Cut Relay and is only on cars with Theft Protection.
