Whats a better radiator Koyo or Fludiyne
i was told that koyo tend to get cloged up....any one ever have a prob with a koyo ?? please let me know i need to get a new radiator
I've never read about koyos ever clogging. The only problem I've read about with koyos is the older ones had a warped neck and didnt seal the pressure cap well but that's been fixed. I have a koyo and no complaints at all even with an FMIC I've never hit over 90*C on the freeway.
here is a better and cheaper rad. dual pass and fitting on the correct side for our motors. almost like a dream

yeah.. I have one of the older ones!!!! I fixed the neck myself, but that was a pain in the ***.. I think they worped it when putting the overflow spout on..
In reality.. The Koyo is OK.. but... I'm not overly impressed with it..
Only problem i see with the radiator posted above is.. no hookup for Heater core return hose... BUT.. that could be solved easily enough be getting one welded on!!!

I have the Fluidyne. I bought it because Fluidyne was a name that I recognized and knew had a good reputation. At the time I bought it (4 years ago) I had never heard of Koyo.
The Fluidyne bolts right in and has fittings for all the stock parts, as does the Koyo. It's likely a 6 of one, half a dozen of the other situation. Just by eye, the Fluidyne does look to be a higher quality part though.

FC Bottommed Out Today....
So I was drifting with a friend in tandem at a local parking lot when I hit an uneven surface and I felt an impact on the bottom front of the car. A few minutes later, my add coolant buzzer came on. I opened up my hood and saw that my reservoir was completely empty and there was a coolant trail coming from the back of my FC. I think my radiator cracked , since the hoses weren't wet, so I'm bringing it to the shop tomorrow to check it out. My question is that if I have to replace it, should I go with a Koyo, a Fluidyne or a stock replacement? I'm thinking Koyo, since in a previous what radiator should I get thread, everyone who posted said Koyo and I didn't hear any pro Fluidyne owners. What do you guys think?
