Aaron Cake- Great input there.

But the reason I ripped off my emmissions is not for HP but because of all the headaches you can get trying to find a vac leak in that thing. Compared to my friends' FC's mine is easy to trbouble shoot and work on. There isn't a big mess of noids and hoses there.

That's fine, but everyone was giving the impression that he would gain power from removing emissions. This is not true. In fact, the opposite is probably true (though I have not proven this).

There is absolutely no reason to remove a working emissions system (unless you are going standalone), and there's no reason to not fix a broken one. It's all very simple.

Aaron Cake, if You have no Cats...What can your other emissions equipment do for you? Might as well take it out.

Emissions system is also in charge of purging the crankcase, fuel vapour recovery system, maintaining idle, etc. Loosing the airpump also means that you have a aux port dilemma...And wiring them open, as everyone knows, is a hack.

Hmmm yes... good points. It would be nice to have a cleaned out engine bay but I dont see the gains of no PS, AC, Emissions equip worth the gain now.

they're freebie upgrades. boredom makes me do stupid things to my car. i'd say the full exhaust has given me the best response because the stock system was shot.

I thought lighweight flywheels DIDN'T give HP. I thought they just free the engine up a bit like removing the stock fan and all the un-needed pullies.

Lighter Flywheel will help it rev quicker. Keep the A/C, when it's not on it doesn't take up much HP at all. You could loose the PS though. Port the engine will help.

I vote an Aluminum radiator....it won't make you hp, but you can't run super high numbers without it.... Its probably one of the best things I've ever bought for reliablity issues for high boost on a road course, etc.
