Question What'll make the most H/p??

I was wondering, since I know very little about the mechanical aspect of these cars. What engine would produce the most h/p and how much?? A 12a,13b n/a,or a 13b n/a w/carb. conversion???

Heh. I hope you don't talk as much smack as is in your sig! You do realize that your car is as fast as or slightly slower than a stock Honda Civic Si, right?

Anyway, the answer to your question is "it depends". Bridgeported 12As can make upwards of 250 hp at 11k-12k RPM. Then again, the 13Bs can make 300+ hp at the same. It all depends on how your engine's built... with all other factors being equal, however, a larger-displacement engine will always make more power...

I'd say the regular 13b, and could produce around 250hp with some pretty major modifications, I am not an NA guy my self though

honestly without forced induction you are limitied in power. with very serious mods you can get an n/a 13b to 300. but that wouldnt even be streetable. reliably you could prolly get 220 streetable.

i am an N/A guy but realistically the real power comes from forced induction.

HELL YES! I had one and loved it. The old 12A's are tough little bastards and love having the **** revved outta them. I had a daily driven 84 Cosmo with factory 12A Turbo that made 220hp with only exhaust and intake mods but no intercooler. The Cosmo only weighed 2600lb so it went really well. I have a mate with a rare factory 84 (Series 3) RX-7 Turbo (same factory 12AT) that has Series 5 manifolds, turbo and EFI, FMIC and 3" exhaust that does high 11's on street tires.

JESUS CHRIST MAN!!! 11'S ON STREET TIRES!! SOUNDS FUN! Currently I can get 12sec gen.1 for $3500. BUT it is NOT a rotary eng. it has a starion/conquest eng. w/nitrous, and its gutted pretty good(int.,eng.bay), not exactly the most streetable car ya know
