What'll happen if I remove the Air Pump?

I have a '91 N/A with a completely stock engine except for an intake. I want to remove the Air Pump so I can use the bracket as a model to have a new one CNC milled out of forged aluminum. Does anyone know if anything will suffer damage of any kind if I run the car without the Air Pump for a couple of days? Thanks.

Well first of all your 6-ports, and VDI will operate. This won't hurt anything, other than give you a lack of HP in the higher RPM's, 4-8k. The airpump also supplies air to your catylitic converter. Without this fresh air you cat will clog. A few days, probably wouldn't hurt, but I wouldn't take the chance.

Ya, you need to replace the cats with a header/presilencer combo or downpipe/midpipe or you can just gut the cats. I would definitely do this before you remove the airpump.
