what is wrong???!!

i bought a RX7 thursday because rotarys and rx's are great, bbut theres a problem. it doesnt work right at all. it acts like its not getting fuel or it kinda acts like its not getting spark. but i know the fuel filter is good i just changed it. the coil pack is working it could be the spark plugs or the plugs wires. but anyway it has NO!! power at all. A 1970 LTD FORD could beat it like nothing. Its weak!! there is no take off. it takes 4sec to get to 3rpm from 1rpm flooring it all the way.

know I thought mazda RX7s are great, but what is that all about!

PLZ tell me what is wrong

They are great...When they have no problems. I would take a compression test to determine the condition of the motor. Once you have a starting point we can go from there.
Make certain the plug wires are connected properly.

Front/Towards headlights.

Test your spark. Test to make sure you're getting fuel. Check the ECU for good readings (might have to be warm).

You could have a clogged cat, bad injectors, etc... Do a search.

Or you could have a blown motor, which is what it kind of sounds like.

L1 (leading 1) is bottom front rotor, T1 (trailing 1) is top front rotor.

Check compression first. have a mazda dealership do it. Perform a general tuneup. Any check engine lights? Does it leave a nice big plume of smoke while you are accelerating? Is the transmission tunnel unbearbly hot ? that would be a sign of a clogged cat. They have been known to glow red. You can't just jump into a 14-17 year old car and expect it to drive like new. Chances are it's been abused already, and it needs TLC.
