Probably put the S4 motor in so he could take advantage of the mechanical OMP and lower compression.

Here in the Midwest- $6500-8000

In California and other rotary saturated areas- $5000

From what I have heard, the S4 turbo engines
seem to handle high horse power better than
the S5 motors. That was told to me by some guys
from Idaho who have raced both and blown both
motors, that was there results any way. I am not
sure if you can call that a true statement, but once
again that what I heard might have a little bearing
on the subject. Lates Matt22

I think that the s5's can hold more power because I remember reading about the dowell pins on the s4 turbo flexing at over 400hp or so. I think Ted has that info up on fc3s-pro.

if he is running a S5 engine harness and ecu it will put the ecu into limp mode without the electronic OMP hooked up. lower compressions means lower power. high compression rotors are the way to go
