what would you do with 14k?

I have around 14k to spend on a FC and I was wondering what would you guys to with it?

Should I buy a N/A FC then turbo it or supercharge it? or should I buy a Turbo II and upgrade the turbo?

I would like a 12 sec streetable car.

Also what is the best year to buy a Turbo II?

And is the FC ECU like the 3rd gen rx-7's where you have to upgrade it with 2 or more mods?

I have a N/A so I dont know about the turbo mods , but turbo 2 would most definitely be your best choice then mod the hell out of it. 14k is a good chunk of change.

don't buy an N/A, go for for a 89-91 turbo II. and yes the ecu or fueling needs to be upgraded soon. but for a 12 sec street car you will want a standalone aways. you could probably do it for 14k if you do some of the work yourself. basicly looking at rebuild ported engine, bigger turbo, stand alone ecu, injectors, fuel pump, custom IC. etc, basicly a setup like this http://www.1300cc.com/howto/how2/adrian.htm will give you a nice 12sec street car. but if you can't do atleast some of the work yourself you're not going to do it for that much.

Make a turbo convertible.

You can buy and build a REALLY fast TII for $14K.

I did own a FD untill my dad crashed it on halloween.

But since I am going to college I need a more reliable car.

Plus there is no way I am parking a FD in these student parking lots.

Plus I want a beater car I dont have to worry about.

Right now it is between a 94-95 Acura Integra GSR or a 89-91 Turbo II.

I still havent made up my mind yet but im thinking about the Turbo II saving some money and when I get outta college get a FD.

only downside to putting $14k into a T2 is you will not get anywhere near that back if you try and sell it. on my FD if i ever need to sell i can recoup some of the money........

Man I would look for an 89+ that has a real good body/interior & a blown engine. Then spring for a Jspec and have it redone with a slight streetport. Get a cone intake & 3" down pipe and 3" straight back to muffler(s). Then get lager injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator & a haltech. Then get a T-78 upgrade & front mount intercooler. Then hook a 50 wet shot of NOS for special occassions & you should be good to go. Shouldn't cost no $14,000 either, maybe half that.

I'd get a T2. 88-90
get a RX6 turbo, ARC, Spearco, or Apex'i IC
mostly Apex'i parts, go with a haltech.
Get a body kit, paint it white w/ red accents
do up the engine nice (not polished like most)
and get some nice wheels, possibly kinesis's
I'd go over $14k probly
but maybe get a GN and put a little bit of money into it
Then have some left over for a 89+ N/A FC :-D

That's easy. I'd buy an E30 M3, or an E28 M5, and spend the rest on insurance money. (How the hell do you spend $14k on an RX-7?)
