I would suggest EBC green stuff, ive been using them for the street only, and they are super. Great stopping-power and they have never faded.
I have a sport too and i love it...

If you do LOTS of auto-x - Hawk HP Plus
If primarily street - Hawk HPS

only bad thing I was seeing about the hawk pads is they where saying something about heat checks and cracks

but then again I don't know how bad or how soon the cracking would happen

I've been driving FC's for over 7 years and have had Hawk HPS on my N/A and my current TII. (and I drive A LOT) Never had a problem.

That's only if you use a set of pads that isn't up to the task. For example, the rotors on my 1Gen cracked after being run hard at Daytona with Hawk Black (mild race) pads and no ducting. Lesson learned: use Hawk Blue (full race) pads and appropriate ducting at Daytona. I don't see how you could possibly overheat even the most generic brake pads while driving on the street in a legal manner. Note that the better race pads will chew up your rotors very quickly on the street (Hawk Blue = 3 months vs. Stock Pads = 10 years). I just ordered some Hawk HPS pads for my 1Gen's street/autocross hubs. The HP+ would be slightly better for autocrossing, but will wear the rotors a little faster.

With my 2Gen, I raced autocross events with generic $20/set semi-metallic pads from the local auto parts store, and they worked just fine. Later I moved up to a custom carbon compound, which really didn't make all that much difference. Honestly, the 2Gen braking system works great on the street with just about any type of pad. The best thing you can do to make your car stop faster is to take driving lessons and practice a lot.

Here is an explanation of the Hawk compounds:

right now I am getting issues with brake fade as it is

granted the fluid was kinda old and was replaced and the brake pads are shot..

but doing a 15 mile run if I kept the max speed down to 65 mph I didn't really get a lot of fade but if I started maxing things out doing stops from 80-90mph down to 40-50mph over and over I was getting lots of fade and quick

what would be a better choice though between the hawk vs EBC greenstuff....

pros and cons of each would be good

thank you for all the help so far

EDIT:
what the ****? I just found some carbon fiber KVR brake pads????

what gives with that?

my hawk hps squal everytime I step on the brake.. after 6 months it is starting to really **** me off... they will be going into the gargabe sometime in the near future for either EBC or stock pads.

I've taken them out once and cleaned everything and covered it in anti-squal. worked great for 30 mins...

the only other time it doesn't squal is after 2 hard stops from 90mph. in which case they don't squal for another 2 mins... but then starts again.

If you're willing to spend the $, you could try Porterfields. They sell em on M-trix. I've been using them for about 5 years. Their street/autocross pads are the best I've ever used, (Though I haven't tried EBC) very brake-rotor friendly, no squeel at all, have never faded even at track days at summitt point. Just make sure u follow the procedures for bedding them in on the M-trix web site.

all in all things seem to be a lot better with the hawk HPS pads

they have more grip to them vs the ones Iwas using before

only thing though is I need to bleed the system since it feels like I have a little air in the lines when I was pushing the pistons back in to make room for a thicker pad

oh yeah

bedding in the brakes stinks
I mean it was just nasty smelling.....
