Allright I need your help guys. I have a really good deal coming to me for a 20bTT.

Here is my question though, What would I need (besides money, I know thats an issue) to get this thing to run in my car. What kind of tranny, ecu, etc.

Please I am really debating on purchasing this engine. Thank you

you would need the 20b section and some quality time with the search function

all i used on mine was a set of mounts, BIG GIANT radiator, custom downpipe, front mount IC with custom plumbing, and a haltech....

trans was just the original t2...

if i was gonna do it again, i'd run it NA, makes the same HP as the stock twins, without all the headache of the turbos

it does greatly depend on how you want it set up. If you want to go single turbo with it you will have thousands of dollars just for that.

Oh ok... That is not that bad at all. I was just thinking of doing a 3rotor Large street port with a Gt37r turbo.

Hopefully make like 500+ horses.

But N/A idea doesnt sound bad either.

Sorry That I didnt research but Im here at work and I leave for school right after... But I appreciate all the comments.

I have to say, I hate when people say crap like this. If everyone would not attempt something just because they don't fully understand it we'd still be in the Stone Age. Obviously the OP is trying to learn how to make this happen before even buying the motor; I would say that’s a step in the right direction. Rather than some people who have gotten half way through the swap then start asking questions.

As to the OP's question, I have not done this personally but I have looked into it a bit, as someone else said, main items you need are a standalone, mounting solution, downpipe (or full exhaust replacement), Cosmo fuel pump or something better, big aluminum radiator (they produce A LOT of heat), intercooler solution. You'll want to make sure you have someone close to you for tuning as you will be towing it there.
I would also suggest replacing things like the thermostat, all vacuum lines, etc.

Plan out the swap step by step. GL.

After being on the forum's for awhile its very annoying to see a post thats been asked before the search function is a great tool... also why not go ask in the 20b section? Im not trying to be hateful but how many times do you go into the 2nd gen section and you see just bought an 88gxl i wanna put a turbo motor in it or a 13brew motor? same concept

Although it would be great if people spent more time searching before posting new threads about topics that have been beaten to death, it's just not going to happen. Certain individuals in this thread need to take it easy.

The first thing you need is deeeeep pockets. With that said, the low-bucks way to go 20B is to buy my car. See: http://www.cris.com/~Asam/20B.html It's yours for $19,900.

20b cost way too much. If you're not looking for something that's just unique then avoid it. So many better, way cheaper power options.

$1500 is a GREAT price, though...you can nearly double it on eBay, then use that as a foundation for a better build. For $3000 you can do (plus basic mods) a TII swap or, if you're wanting something different that's more powerful/reliable you can do a 7m or 1jz swap, or if you're wanting something crazy fast/cheap do an LS1.

20b's are cool, but down at the bottom of my "what would be cool in my RX7 engine bay" list.
