money and a good mechanic

asking this question means you do not have the knowledge to do it yourself, there is no magic list for making power, tuners pick and choose a turbo and then tailor the fuel system to meet the needs of the additional boost then tuning is just as important as the setup. if you need to ask the question then you need more money than paying someone to do it for you as you will make mistakes and wind up with broken parts.

if you really want to learn then do your own homework like everyone else.

and don't bother getting mad because i didn't help, because i gave you the best advice one can give, speaking from experience.

Searching the forum would be your best bet. These sort of things have been discussed many times, and you will probably find all your answers somewhere in there.

I did a solid YEAR of searching before I was ready to swap turbos. I then asked the guy who built the turbo what fuel he would recommend. I then compared it to the setups that other people have run with the same turbo. I Found that some kept the stock primaries with 720cc secondaries, while others went with 1600cc secondaries and 720cc primaries. I don't know your turbo, I don't know your mods, and I definitely don't know what fuel setup to go with. Are you standalone? piggyback?stock ECU? fuel pump? you gave us nothing man. For all I know this is an NA that you want to slap a turbo on.

What you ask of us is the same as if I went to you and asked you how much water/food/protein I should eat if I want to gain ONLY 30 lbs. of muscle while losing 20 lbs. of fat. When you can answer ME that question we might be able to answer yours. I don't think you can answer that question because I could be 6'0" and 180 lbs or I could be 6'0" 300 lbs and the advice you give me could kill me or make me fatter.

asking simple questions here and there is much easier than asking someone how you should build your car.

A good tip though as far as nailing down some of the major items is to find a car with similar power output to your goal and then read his list of mods....its lame sure - but it can get you in the ball park.

well since you want to keep the car smoggable IMO the best path is the path of least resistance:

BNR stage 3 turbo(does not require swapping out to pass emissions)
forget the front mount and get a methanol injection kit(more reliable than the engine heat a FMIC will generate on the track, my preference is 50% distilled water/methanol for additional knock suppression properties unless you really want to run high boost in the upper teens to 20's but that is just plain stupid on the track anyways)
720primaries 1000 secondaries
EMS of your tuners choice
255LPH fuel pump

basically the only things you would need to swap out for emissions and track duty are the intake and cats.

yes, you NEED a boost controller to control the wastegate (50mm????), and you need a fuel pump to get all that gas to the injectors at the necessary pressure.

You need to go to google and search for a parts list and researrch what each part does and HOW so you can better understand what you're getting.

Do you know what a wastegate DOES and how it does it?
How about a boost controller (aka actuator valve controller)?
Do you know WHY people upgrade their fuel pumps?

When you research this you will answer your questions in a manner that YOU will understand. It's easy for us to say YES you need it or no it's useless but wouldn't you rather know WHY by UNDERSTANDING the concepts yourself?

^^^^^^i stopped listening to that guy. His posts are amusing especially the ones where he doesn't know wtf he's talking about (about 90% of them). Just let him go on his own. It's better than letting him know he's retarded and getting a warning. I tend to ignore the majority of posts by people with "drifit(ing) or any variation of it, Initial D (or any variation/ character/team), slide and it's variations, among the hundred other posters that are all ove this board nowadays.

a well tuned setup will pass emissions just fine even with an EMS, S4 did not have a check engine light so that is no worry during smog.

no, BNR's are internal ported wastegates. www.bnrturbos.com

The Standalone, injectors and fuel pump will waste more gas but it won't mess with your smoggability unless you live in a place where cars are taken apart and put back together before smogging. You can actually lean out the mixture so it passes smog a lil easier.

all you need to pass smog:

no check engine lights
cats
stock intake
and the ability to pass/trick the sniffer (which you CAN do with the standalone)

actually you can have better fuel mileage with a standalone than trying to tweak a piggyback on the stock ECU, i pull about 23MPG highway at 80MPH average throwing in a few full boost pulls here and there. getting good city mileage is a little tricky though, depending on how well you can tune.

even with an S5 you can just toss in a S4 idiot cluster without the check engine light position and if the smog tech asks you can simply tell them it never had one.

I've heard good things about the WOLF EMS but again, you're better off researching and seeing what others say about these systems.
