What is this and what does it do??
Can anyone tell me what the heck this thing is and is it required. Can i remove it and put a block off plate there. I have no emmissions. IF someone could take a picture of where ever theres plugs in that would be grately appreciated!!! Thank you all...

I believe that is your BAC valve. If you have accesories do not take it off. I removed mine but i have no a/c or power steering. The BAC adjusts the idle under different loads.
That is your BAC valve. Its use is to raise the idle when the engine is under load. Those 2 connections are for a coolant line that runs from the top of the water pump housing to the back of the throttle body. It serves only as a connector, as the coolant does not flow into the BAC valve, just past it. You remove those lines when you do the Throttle Body mod, which was probably done by the previous owner.

no... see, the thing is... i tore the s4 motor out in a mad rush of excitement about 4 months ago and put a s5 in and did stupid things.. i took the motor back out and just recently reinstalled it.. forgetting where things went! I was retarded to do it in such a hurry, now am paying for it. Thanks guys,

Ah, in that case, there is a small coolant nipple on the top of the water pump right below the alt (at least on S5 Turbo), and a coolant nipple on the top of the TB, right where it meets the UIM (again, on S5 Turbo). Run a line from each of those to either side of the BACv.

TB mod is the elimination of the extra set of secondary throttle plates (and in most cases along with the bunch of crap around the throttle body that's not needed when removing those plates)
